Add a payment method to Google Play

To make purchases on Google Play you can add a payment method to your account right from the Play Store app.

Settings and features vary by device and Android version. The steps might be different on your phone.

    To add a payment method, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.

  2. Step 2 of 7

    Open the Google Play Store app .

  3. Step 3 of 7

    Tap Menu .

  4. Step 4 of 7

    Tap Payment methods.

  5. Step 5 of 7

    Under "Add payment method," select the payment method you’d like to add.

  6. Step 6 of 7

    Follow the on-screen instructions. When you’re done, tap Save.

    Tip: To quickly add a credit or debit card, you can scan your card with your phone’s camera.

  7. Step 7 of 7

    You can now make purchases in  Google Play.

    Tip: To update or remove your payment method, in Payment methods, tap More payment settings.
