Features are subject to availability. The steps may look different depending on your device.
Know where to find your tools
Knowledge is power. Learn about Google’s security offerings so you can take control and keep your online life secure and private. Adjust security settings to suit your unique needs and have confidence that your personal information is protected.
To access your Google Account security settings, go to myaccount.google.com.
In the navigation panel, tap Security.
Security in My Account
Here, you’ll find an overview of your activity and security preferences. You can review alerts and recently signed-in devices in the “Recent security activity” section. You can review when and where your account was last accessed in the “Your Devices” section. Additionally, you can take action to protect yourself by adding or verifying a recovery phone number and adding 2-Step Verification options.
Security Checkup
One of the most useful tools available to you is the Security Checkup. It’s the first option under your security preferences and it’s where to get personalized recommendations that can help keep your account safe.
You’ll find a summary of your account’s protective features and can review actions to take to better protect your account.
My Activity and Privacy
Security and privacy settings are different, but work together. When you willingly share your data, it’s only as secure as the entities you share it with.
To review and delete your saved data, go to myactivity.google.com. Here you’ll find your Web & App activity, Location history and YouTube history. This data is saved to offer a more personalized experience while using Google products. You can turn it off or delete past activity at any time.
You can review Privacy tools and settings in the “Data & privacy” section of your Google Account. You can also review key privacy settings by taking the Privacy Checkup.
